May 2010		Looney Choons @ RTRFM 92.1 - 7 May 2010 download Whenever I visit Perth, I make a point of going up to the RTR studio for Looney Choons. It's good fun playing music in there, it's just a nice and quiet room with a good soundsystem and a city full of listeners - night owls, clubbers, people driving home. Years ago we would regularly get calls from two bakers who were listening, presumably whilst baking. I've got a few recordings from back then. It's a fantastic station with many good shows - Underground Solution was and is my favourite radio show. I went back there recently and it remains as fun as ever. This recording is made up of all sorts of dance music I've been enjoying in the last year (and a couple of cheesy advertisments for tickets to see Mick Malthouse). 2008		Minimal Exposure 30 December 2008 download After living in London for a few years, I went back to Perth and was lucky enough to get a short set at Minimal Exposure. I decided to play some dubstep that is a bit like techno. I'm sorry the sound is so quiet on this mix, it gets louder as it goes. Please adjust your set. 1. 2007		Looney Choons 21-12-2007 download part 1 download part 2 After living in London for a couple of years, I went back to Perth and went up to my old radio station, RTRFM, and did an epic show on Looney Choons. I used to do this show fairly regularly when I lived in Perth, for about 4 or 5 years, and it was fun going back up and instead of playing minimal techno, playing music I'd been getting into in London - mostly dubstep. There's more to dubstep than what I've played here, of course. Lots has changed in two years. But I still really like this, especially the Clouds, Timeblind, Bass Clef, and Shackleton.
