April 2010		New Music! Untold Brackles Shortstuff Shed Martyn Bass Clef Chrissie Murderbot Since the start of the year, these mixes have been keeping me bopping throughout the day. They are all excellent. All but one are free (and the Martyn Mix is well worth a flutter), which goes to show how wonderful the internet is. The Untold, Brackles and Shorstuff mixes are good examples of what is happening to dubstep and garage these days - as "traditional" dubstep fades, this new stuff has grabbed my interest. It's a bit faster, somtimes pretty techno-ey (in fact you may hear some old techno, like Joey Beltram and Surgeon), sometimes a bit like garage. Some of it sounds very old, but I don't mind. The Shed mix is a bit darker, a bit moodier, but if you're in a brooding frame of mind it's nice. The Martyn mix is the 50th Fabric mix. Fabric is one of the world's mega-clubs, overcrowded but with a fantastic soundsystem and pretty decent programming. The Ricardo Villalobos Fabric mix was amazing in it's way, and so is this one. Bass Clef will take you in a completely different direction: to Africa. If you feel like good wholesome booty shaking to undeniably *happy* music then download this one. And finally, Chrissie Murderbot: also undeniably happy, but with disco. Some fantastic old tunes, well worth a download.		new dubstep? / African / Disco
2009		Vex'd - Sunday Walkman Mix link A fantastic new mix by Jamie Vex'd. These tunes are incredible, a variation on dubstep that is fresh and heavy.
